׏ِ׏ِ א Áǝƺ ɀȒƬǣƏǼ ȇƺɎɯȒȸǸɀ The website content, which can be consulted on smartphones or tablets, is also shared on the main social media (primarily ŊļŇŇĸŅё ĴĶĸĵłłľ ĴŁķ ļŁľĸķ Łҏє Ļĸ ŁĸŊņ Ĺĸĸķņ łĹ ŇĻĸ social media accounts convey the main position statements. The major events in which ASN participates (parliamentary hearings, public meetings) are announced and can be followed in real time on the social networks. Since 2011, social media have been integrated in the commu- nication organisation set up for the emergency exercises and participate in the “media pressure simulations”. The issue at stake is to take into account factors such as the immediacy of the reactions, the urgency of the need for information and the speed of dissemination of incorrect or incomplete information, etc. In such emergency situations, whether simulated or real, ASN takes care to ensure the consistency, speed and clarity of the information delivered to the audiences, including when several players are involved. ŁĸŊņ ļņ ĹłĿĿłŊĸķ ĴŁķ ŃĴņņĸķ łŁ ĵŌ ŀłŅĸ ŇĻĴŁ ӄӃёӃӃӃׇņňĵі ņĶŅļĵĸŅņ łŁ ŊļŇŇĸŅё ŁĸĴŅĿŌ ӄӈёӈӃӃׇłŁ ļŁľĸķ Ł ĴŁķ ŁĸĴŅĿŌ ӇёӃӃӃׇłŁ ĴĶĸĵłłľє ׏ِ׏ِ ב Áǝƺ ³zٖX«³z ƺɴǝǣƫǣɎǣȒȇ As part of their duty to inform the public, ASN and the Institute for Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN) have created educational content to develop knowledge of nuclear activities and radiation protection among high school pupils, students, employees, hospital personnel, patients, etc., and more generally the public at large. This content exists in several forms at present: an exhibition of ņłŀĸ ӋӃׇķļņŃĿĴŌ ĵłĴŅķņ ŃĿňņ ĸķňĶĴŇļłŁĴĿ ĿĸĴĹĿĸŇņє Ļĸņĸ ʼnĸĶŇłŅņ ĴŅĸ designed to provide information on radioactivity –whether natural or artificial, its uses, its implications and its effects on humans and the environment. XȇǔȒȸȅƏɎǣȒȇ ƏȇƳ ǣȒƳǣȇƺ ɎƏƫǼƺɎ ƳǣɀɎȸǣƫɖɎǣȒȇ ƬƏȅȵƏǣǕȇɀ Every seven years or so, an information and iodine tablet distribution campaign targets the populations living in the vicinity of Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs) over the entire zone covered by the Off-site Emergency Plans (PPIs) (*) ٢ɀƺƺ ƬǝƏȵɎƺȸ ژג ȵȒǣȇɎ ׏ِ׏ِ׏ ژ ƫ٣ِ…ɮƺȸ ƏȇƳ ƫƺɵȒȇƳ the distribution of stable iodine tablets, the aim is to develop citizen awareness of the nuclear risk and knowledge of the means to protect themselves against it. א ׎׏ ژח ɀƏɯ Ɏǝƺ ɀɎƏȸɎ Ȓǔ Əȇ ǣȇǔȒȸȅƏɎǣȒȇ ƏȇƳ ǣȒƳǣȇƺ ɎƏƫǼƺ distribution campaign in the areas situated between ׏׎ ژ ƏȇƳ א ׎ ژ Ǹȅ ǔȸȒȅ ȇɖƬǼƺƏȸ ǣȇɀɎƏǼǼƏɎǣȒȇɀ ǔȒǼǼȒɯǣȇǕ Ɏǝƺ ȸƺƬƺȇɎ ƺɴɎƺȇɀǣȒȇ Ȓǔ Ɏǝƺ ȸƏƳǣɖɀ Ȓǔ Ɏǝƺ ¨¨Xɀ ǔȸȒȅ ׏׎ ژ ɎȒ א ׎ ژ Ǹȅِ XɎ ǣɀ ƬȒȅȵǼƺȅƺȇɎƏȸɵ ɎȒ Ɏǝƺ א ׎׏ אٮה ׎׏ ژו ƬƏȅȵƏǣǕȇ ɯǝǣƬǝ ƬȒȇƬƺȸȇƺƳ ȸƺɀǣƳƺȇɎɀ ǣȇ Ɏǝƺ ׎ ٮ ׏׎ ژ Ǹȅ ɿȒȇƺِ Conducted by the Ministry of the Interior, it involves health professionals, education stakeholders, elected officials, Local Information Committee (CLI) members, IRSN, EDF, etc. ASN, on the strength of its experience, assists the Ministry of the Interior in this procedure. Áǝƺ ƬƏȅȵƏǣǕȇ ȅɖɀɎ ƬȒȇɎǣȇɖƺ ǣȇ א ׎ א ׎ ژ ǣȇ ȒȸƳƺȸ ɎȒ ƏƬǝǣƺɮƺ the best possible coverage of the populations concerned. Iodine tablet collection from pharmacies had reached ƏƫȒɖɎ ۏדא ƫɵ ǼƏɎƺ IƺƫȸɖƏȸɵ א ׎ א ׎ِ Áǝǣɀ ȸƺɀɖǼɎ ǣɀ ƳȒɯȇ compared with the preceding campaign (2016), even though the same media were used to inform the population (postal mail, press relations, social networks, toll-free phone number, website); it may be explained by the fact that this type of operation is completely new in these areas, with the recent extension of the ȸƏƳǣɖɀ ǔȸȒȅ ׏׎ ژ ɎȒ א ׎ ڙ Ǹȅِ Xȇ ƺǔǔƺƬɎً ɀɎƏƫǼƺ ǣȒƳǣȇƺ ɎƏƫǼƺɎɀ ǝƏɮƺ ƫƺƺȇ ƳǣɀɎȸǣƫɖɎƺƳ ǣȇ Ɏǝƺ ׎ ٮ ׏׎ ژ Ǹȅ ɿȒȇƺ ɀǣȇƬƺ ׏ וחח ً ƫɖɎ ȒȇǼɵ ɀǣȇƬƺ ³ƺȵɎƺȅƫƺȸ א ׎׏ ژח ǣȇ Ɏǝƺ ׏׎ אٮ ׎ ژ Ǹȅ ɿȒȇƺِ ASN considers that development of the radiation protection culture of the population living in Ɏǝƺ ׏׎ אٮ ׎ ژ Ǹȅ ɿȒȇƺ ǣɀ Ə ȅƏǴȒȸ ƏȸƺƏ ǔȒȸ ȵȸȒǕȸƺɀɀ for all the stakeholders, and without waiting for the next distribution campaign (2023).
