REGIONAL OVERVIEW of nuclear safety and radiation protection The French Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN) has 11 regional divisions through which it carries out its regulatory duties throughout metropolitan France and in the overseas départements and regions. Several ASN regional divisions can be required to coordinate their work in a given administrative region.
