ASN actions to prevent the radon risk in the regions In 2024, the ASN regional divisions the most concerned by the radon risk participated, alongside other administrations (Regional Directorate for the Environment, Planning and Housing – Dreal, ARS, Regional Directorate of the Economy, Employment, Labour and Solidarity – Dreets, local authorities) and partner organisations (Cerema, Building Industry Scientific and Technical Centre – CSTB, professional associations, etc.), in several initiatives to raise awareness to the radon risk targeting different audiences (elected officials, building trade professionals, employers, PAB administrators and private individuals). In addition to these awareness-raising actions and in line with the verification process initiated in this area over the last few years, more than thirty inspections targeting major PAB administrators and specific workplaces were carried out.
